CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR SEASONED WOK

  1. There are no chemical residues left on your wok as it has been well cleaned and well-seasoned. Therefore the only cleaning required prior to first use is to clean off any dust that may have gathered in storage / delivery with some hot water.

  2. Metal utensils are safe to use with the wok.

  3. Do not use steel or harsh scrubbers to clean. Use Hot Water and a light sponge, the abrasive side is ok. Minimise use of detergent to clean the wok. Use hot water.

  4. Dry the wok well after each wash.

  5. OPTIONAL – you may like to rub a little bit of cooking oil into the wok after each wash. Cook off oil on heat. Wipe. Store.

  6. If you have purchased a round bottom wok, take care not to drop the wok, the cast iron is thin and will likely crack.
